Floating Koi Replica- 11 inch Hi Utsuri Koi Fish. The floating Koi replicas act as predator control in the pond. Floating koi replicas can be suspended beneath the surface of the water to act as a decoy for pond predators. Predators will go after the still decoy only to be deceived out of a good meal. Six varieties of Koi to choose from in two different sizes. Note: At TJB-INC we use these decoy fish in our display ponds. They work well if they are kept clean. Every month or so (depending upon the nutrient levels of your pond) you should remove the decoy fish and clean them with hydrogen peroxide. If you do not clean them, algae will start to grow on the decoy just like any other still object in your pond. I made the purchase not as a need for predator control but to stock my small man-made fountain without the "fish maintenance". Purely for decorative purposes. The fountain and small pond look great. The floating Koi add much realism. Folks are continously fooled into thinking they are real.
